Election Day is October 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Advance voting starts on Friday, October 16, and continues through Saturday, October 17. Online voting begins on Wednesday, October 14, and will be available until October 26.
PLEASE NOTE: You can vote in Kingston’s municipal election if you’re a Canadian citizen, 18 years old, and reside in Kingston. You must also own or rent property here, or have your spouse do so, and be free to vote due to no legal restrictions.

2. CONTRIBUTIONS & RESTRICTIONS
Giving rules.
Campaign contributions are governed by Ontario municipal election legislation.
PLEASE NOTE: Contributions may only be made by individuals who reside in Ontario. Contributions from corporations, businesses, and unions are not permitted. Contributions are not tax deductible. The maximum contribution to a candidate is $1,200 per contributor.
